Kerry Shannon is an extremely professional agent. Not only does she understand real estate, she makes the effort to understand her clients as well. For some, the emotional stress can be as difficult as the actual selling and purchasing event itself. Kerry picks up on these subtle cues and approaches each situation with empathy and thoughtfulness. She is never pushy, is very patient and gives her clients the space they need to work through their decisions. This builds trust and then allows Kerry to do her work on advising her clients; the advice is always tailored around the situation. Additionally, Kerry was always available - weekdays, weeknights and any time on weekends as well. When our house went on the market, she collected several contracts the very first day and also negotiated a very favorable purchase agreement for our new property in a very competitive environment. I needed to close fast as I was moving states for a new job. Kerry helped me find a location and close on a house in under two months. She was really great at helping me find a property I loved. As a first time homebuyer, I was really intimidated by the process but she helped keep everything moving.

She also worked with us from a list timing perspective (from initial contact to listing was about 2 months) , and was willing to strategize with us on pricing. Kerry Shannon is an outstanding real estate professional. She is extremely knowledgeable about both the local and regional real estate markets. There was never a time during our home purchase process that we couldn't reach Kerry by phone immediately - nights, weekends - she works 24/7. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer. Kerry guided us through the negotiation process, she took extensive notes and asked pertinent questions - questions I wouldn't have thought to ask - during the 5 hour home inspection, and she expertly guided us through re-negotiation against multiple contracts. I rarely give a 5 star review for anyone or anything, so if you are considering a real estate agent in Frederick County or anywhere in the metropolitan Washington DC area I highly recommend Kerry Shannon!
